Tracee Ellis Ross & Cast of “Black-ish” Win Big at the NAACP Image Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross receives praise for acceptance speech at 46th Annual NAACP

It was a big night for the cast of Black-ish at the 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards. The ABC sitcom won a whopping five awards: Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series (Anthony Anderson), Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series (Tracee Ellis Ross), Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Laurence Fishburne), and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Yara Shahidi).

HipHollywood was on the red carpet and backstage during the live two hour telecast hosted by Anthony Anderson, and caught up with the cast after their big win.

Tracee Ellis Ross starred in, arguably, the most-notable UPN sitcom, “Girlfriends.” The show ended in 2008 on The CW, but not before Tracee became an urban sex symbol. Her figure and her humor gained her a legion of fans who have followed her to ABC for “Black-ish.”

Now playing TV wife to Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross has another hit on her hands with this sitcom. Tonight, Tracee Ellis Ross won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for “Black-ish” at the NAACP Image Awards. Tracee Ellis Ross took the stage and delivered a moving acceptance speech, which definitely helped move the culture forward and the fans on Twitter loved it.
